HOW THE COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA USED
Data collected from the site induction is used when the employee or contractor is involved in an accident. Fingerprint data is used to verify the identity of the employee or contractor to access the site only, in emergencies (for example site evacuations), to generate a register of personnel currently on site and for H&S/HR/payroll purposes.

DATA RETAINED DURATION
The collected data is stored for the duration of the project. After the successful completion of the project, site induction forms are destroyed. If the site operative, employee, contractor has been involved in an accident, by law RJL Interiors Ltd will need to retain the site induction form for a period of 30 years. Fingerprint data are securely destroyed at the end of each project.

HOW WE SECURE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The GDPR legislation makes certain that specific categories of personal data, such as medical conditions and fingerprint data adhere to a higher level of protection. As a result, all site induction forms are physical and are stored in a locked cabinet on site with access restricted to health and safety personnel. The fingerprint data is stored locally at site on the designated computer that is stored in a secure room, which has been encrypted, requires a username and a password to gain access to the machine and a further set of login details to access the fingerprint enrolment software. Operatives of the fingerprint enrolment software are restricted from accessing the fingerprint data stored on the site computer and encrypted backups are conducted to minimise data loss.
